Pregnant Shelter Dog Is Too Stressed Out To Give Birth. Then A Couple Walks In And Changes Everything

Shelter is a stressful place for a dog, even more so for a pregnant dog. That is why when pregnant Pit bull Storie ended up at the shelter, she was absolutely reluctant to give birth to her puppies there.

Storie was already due. She could give birth any minute. However, it’s as if she’s determined not to give her pups the shelter life.

Thankfully, couple and dog lovers Mariesa and Chris walked into the shelter that day. They saw her and that was it–they were going to take her home!

They found out she was going to have 12 puppies, and they know very well the shelter is a very stressful environment for her. It simply wasn’t the best place for her puppies, thus the couple’s decision.

“Dogs having puppies at shelters, it’s not the best thing for them. It’s stressful for her, stressful for the puppies,” Chris said.

The couple prepared a comfortable bed and other necessities for Storie. The night they took her home, she went into labor.

Perhaps for the first time, she finally felt safe and ready. Go to the next page to see how this story turns out!
